As a result of the work undertook throughout 2020 for the Engineering Capstone Project at The Melbourne School of Engineering, our team was nominated for four Endeavour Exhibition awards and was fortunate enough to receive the iMarEst Prize for a renewable energy project applicable to the marine environment. We would like to thank Telstra, Boeing and the Research, Innovation and Commercialisation team at The University of Melbourne for nominating our project for each of their respective awards.
We were delighted to receive this award from iMarEst; Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology due to the relevance to our ongoing project and we look forward to developing a continued relationship with them. We were extremely grateful for the financial prize as it has allowed us to continue with device development and we are planning to have a minimum viable product for real-world testing completed in the coming months as a result of these funds. We will be releasing exciting news as we achieve development milestones.
"We believed our idea could help solve a variety of problems that occur with existing wave power technologies. Not long after we began working on this project, we also began TRAM Track."
